Asked Questions... Is the 'Bazooka
Template' the same as the 'Napalm'? Yes it is. Is
initiative worked out per character or per side? Per
Character. Are ties considered
simultaneous, or do you dice-off? I would suggest
either the dice off (which we used at the demo game at Salvo) or a Name That Tune
style bidding contest, where the two players involved continue to reduce their
chances of hitting, until one gives in. (The loser still shoots with the modifier
they last bid.) Under the
rules for Grenades it says roll against the to-hit to see if you throw the pin,
but under the chart it doesn't list a number. Is it the range in inches?
This was a bit of a mistake. The rules say look at the
table, the table says look at the rules. I'm sure there are some people somewhere
still following the instructions and flicking back and forward between the two
pages trapped in some kind of rule loop, slowly starving to death. Sorry about
that. Up until now, we have been using 4 as the number, but I would suggest that
using the range would be better. I think the fairest would be to roll four D6
and double it. The resulting number needs to be higher than the range to be successful. If
a veggie gets hit more than once, does it suffer multiple -2's to-hit? Yes. The
Flamethrower is on the chart as a direct fire weapon (not a template) but not
mentioned under the rules. Does it cause burning like the Napalm Tube? My
original response to the question was to use Carvol capsules filled with lighter
fluid as actual mini-flamethrowers, with the character taking damage for as long
as the model stays on fire, but hey, don't try this at home kids. Treat characters
hit by a flame thrower as if they have been hit by a napalm dispenser, but they
only stay alight for the following turn. Do
all weapons (except Grenades & Napalm) have unlimited ammo? Unless
it is going to have a dterimental effect on the scenarion, I would say Yes! Is
there an arc of fire eg. 360/180/90? 180 degrees Carrots
have capacity 6, but the figures show them carrying 8 weight weapons? Do
they? Under the Random Direction
you suggest 2d6, but d12 would be less biased? That's
true. I tried to keep everything to d6 dice, as I didn't think propper wargamers
would buy the game. How wrong can I be? I think everyone who has bought it is
a wargamer. If you have a d12 use it. (Not the Rap group with Eminem) Any
suggestions for melee damage? If not I'll just use 1d6. 1d6,
though a cutlery draw of melee weapons has been suggested by Alan Blake, which
I am working on! Do peas have the same movement as Mange Touts? Yes. |
