Early days yet, so get contributing! The
Battle of Mole Hill A fierce teritorial
battle between two opposing forces of legume-noire kicks off in what appears to
be a quite secluded country garden. Unknown to the little green peril, however,
the garden has another visitor. To the owner it is just a pest, but to the veggies,
it represents a deadly adversary. The garden has ........dum dum daaaaaaa.................a
mole! Forces are selected as normal, but we suggest
a force of at least 12 vegetables per side. After laying out your scenery,
the table should be divided into a grid of 13 squares by 13 squares. after
the movement phase, but before the firing phase, roll 2d6 twice. The first result
is counted along the short edge of the table, to determine a row in the grid.
The second result is counted along that row to determine a grid square. Before
firing commences, the mole bursts through the ground at that square and devours
any vegetable contained in it. You can have the optional
addition of mole traps, set by the garden owner. Specify before you begin, which
squares contain a mole trap. Should the mole appear in this square, the trap goes
off killing the mole, but also killing everything in each of the immediately adjacent
squares. A similar idea to The Battle of Mole
Hill is the introduction of a real rabbit to the gaming table. Anything it eats
or crushes is removed from the game. I've played a number of Napoleonic games
which ended like this. |
